Portfolio

Web Sharp Designs has developed web sites for a range of clients from various industries. While some projects are similar, each requires a unique solution.

Below are a small selection of websites developed by Web Sharp Designs, with a brief project overview and some comments from clients.

It is important to note that the content on most of the websites listed below, including text and photographs, is self-managed by a representative from each organisation.

Services Offices Newcastle

Nineways Business Centre offer serviced offices and virtual offices, plus a full range of support services such as professional phone answering, bookkeeping, typing and admininistration support.

Karen Howard provided a clear scope with a defined list of requirements. Karen and her staff were very committed to setting an appropriate tone with the website copy and photos. It was a very enjoyable project to work on.

The website now offers a great reference point for prospective clients, with relevant information and photos on Nineways many business related services.

 

Hunter Valley Cadillacs *NEW*

This website design focuses on the dreamy cruise experienced in the cadillac. It's all about the journey, not the destination!

The website offers users pricing, info on each vehicle, a guestbook, a great photo gallery and an online booking enquiry form.

Hunter Valley Cadillacs offer their classic cars for wedding car hire and private wine tasting tours in the Hunter.

Dave and Debbie are passionate about their unique classic cars and they thrive on excellent customer service.

 

Eat Local Restaurant Directory

Web Sharp Designs worked seamlessly with existing website code and content management system to enrich the usability and front-end design. Web Sharp Designs continue to maintain front-end graphics and content, introducing new ideas and functionality.

As one of the region's most popular web portals, Eat Local is the number one method of promoting local restaurants.

Under new management, Bay Views Weddings & Functions has a new look.

Rebuilding it's reputation as a fine dining restaurant and function centre, the new owners (Samantha & Michael) have successfully created a dining experience unique to this area.

Already receiving steady traffic and online booking enquiries, the website appropriately reflects the restaurant decor and style.

 

Silo Lounge Bar

Newcastle's funkiest harbour-side bar now has a website to match!

Using professional photographs supplied by the client, the website design concept was created by Web Sharp Designs. From concept to creation, the entire website was developed and online within a few weeks!

Requiring regular weekly updates, this entire website is managed by the client via Web Sharp Design's Site Update Wizard.

A former theatre & concert hall, the Bacchus Restaurant web site encapsulates the atmosphere and uniqueness of this amazing venue. In its first year, Bacchus has already been nominated for dining awards and its website receives a steady flow of dining and functions enquiries via an online form.

Kitchen renovators and designers 'Creative House of Kitchens & Bathrooms' is a family owned and operated business with a fabulous showroom in Castle Hill Sydney.

With over 25 years in the industry they know kitchen and bathroom renovation inside out... but very little when it comes to setting up a websites.

After supplying their logo and a selection of photographs to Web Sharp Designs (along with a few rough words) their website was developed. After a review by the client and some minor adjustments "voila"!

 

Crighton Homes Construction Newcastle & Hunter

A local residential construction company, Crighton Homes Construction provides a full residential design and construction service specialising in energy and water efficient, passive solar homes to suit your budget and individual needs.

In addition to looking professional, Crighton Homes felt that an optimal ranking on Google was a priority. During development, Web Sharp Designs focussed on several search engine positioning strategies which resulted in this website now very well placed (first page) for most relevant keyword queries on Google Australia.

 

Newcastle Studio Potters & Back to Back Galleries

A not-for-profit group with a world of forsight. This website is a great initiative for a small but expanding community art group and popular Newcastle art gallery.

The focus of the website is to increase memberships, showcase artists and their work, promote the gallery and upcoming exhibitions - all content managed by a member of the group via the Update Wizard.

As a work in progress, the group are working to increase exposure of the website and are continually reviewing content and adding artists.

 

Solid Wood Furniture

Timber craftsman Mark Aylward sought a simple online brochure so that prospective clients could view photographs of previous jobs and get a taste of his style and skill.

With interest from several genuine prospects, Mark was eager to get his website online quickly. From design to publish the Solid Wood Furniture website was online within around 3 weeks.

Mark is really happy with his new website and says the update system is very easy to use!

 

Classic Chevy Hire Cars

A simple and elegant website to showcase the original character and beauty of these classic vehicles.

Launched on the 20th September, this website has already received healthy interest and is expected to increase rapidly.

Business owners Ian and Jennie Aubrey may be just kicking off with their new business, but they're no strangers to hard work and quality service delivery... plus attention to detail!

 

Newcastle Wedding Industry Professionals

With over 70 members, Newcastle Wedding Industry Professionals (NWIP) is a fantastic resource in a fiercely competitive industry.

The NWIP website now attracts over 3,000 visitors per month (and steadily increasing) and includes a ‘subscriber’ function.

Relish Catering Newcastle

Relish Catering to Impress offers gourmet catering for corporate, wedding and private parties and functions.

Primarily to offer their sensational menus online, Relish Catering also have an online booking enquiry form and general information about their catering services.

Merewether Carlton Rugby Club, "The Greens"

With a huge and increasing supporter group this local Rugby Club saw the need to invest in a professional website to keep fans, players and club members up to date.

In addition to match details and results, player profiles and photos, the website offers a wad of information.

The entire website content is managed by a club representative who does a fantastic job of updating it when footy season is in full swing.

Ironbark Country Cottages

Web Sharp Designs worked seamlessly with Liz from Advocart, the graphic designer who provided the artwork concept.

Web Sharp Designs optimised the artwork for web use and then developed the HTML/CSS coding, including the booking enquiry form. All content and photographs are managed by the client using the Site Update Wizard.

 

Sue Stewart, Ceramic Artist

Sue knew what she wanted… a simple, uncomplicated web site purely to showcase her artwork and broadcast up-coming exhibitions. Using the Site Update Wizard, Sue maintains all the web site content and photographs. Her web site has assisted her in promoting her artwork and she can now refer interested art buyers to her website so they can review work immediately.

My knowledge of website development was limited and, with a solo exhibition fast approaching, I didn’t have much time on my hands. Web Sharp Designs managed all the technical details, offered suggestions on the type of content that would be most suitable and provided a clean, simple design. I am not very computer savvy so I was really impressed with how easy it is to add new information and images onto my site as the need arises.

The gig guide, news and other areas are regularly updated by Sue so she can keep her 'groupies' in touch.

Always a pleasure to deal with, it's no wonder David receives such fantastics notes of thanks from his clients.

David simply wanted to showcase some of his creative photography work which focuses on that special day.

With the occassional assistance of Google Adwords - when and as required - David receives a good level of enquiries via his online contact form.

 

Hunter Wedding Grapevine

Promoting local wedding related services, this website is totally managed by the business manager.

The website includes service and contact details for each of it's members, and promotes regular bridal fairs.

Using branding from previous media designs, the website design, development and implementation was quick and hassle-free.

 

Vision Pools, Swimming Pool Designers

Despite being only a holding page, the Vision Pools website still drawns considerable interest and is already well positioned on Google.

A relatively new business, drawing the skills of highly experienced swimming pool designers and buildings, Vision Pools is growing rapidly.

Their new website is currently under development, awaiting a collection of professional photographs to affectively showcase their designer, cutting-edge pool design.

 

Absolute Vintage Elegance

With an outstanding reputation for excellence, this wesite is a simple showcase of their elegant vehicles and supurb customer service.

A family run business with good old fashion values, they requested a simple website that required little maintenance.

First developed back in 2002, this was one of Web Sharp Designs first clients however the code and design has withstood the test of time and it still draws a healthy amount of traffic and enquiries.
